The Dwarf Cavendish is the banana most people picture, grown on a plant short enough to keep on a deck or in a sunroom. It tops out around 6–8 feet — roughly half the height of a standard banana — which makes it the single best choice for container growing and for anyone who needs to drag their plants inside before frost.
